@ASAPS Parks and Recreation Is there a welding class? I want to build a race car!

@Tommy Noble Unfortunately we do not. Good luck with the race car though!

The ASAPS Parks and Recreation Department will be performing maintenance on fire protection pipes in the Liberty Woods neighborhood between July 1st and 15th.
@ASAPS Parks and Recreation What happens if we have a fire while the pipes are under maintenance? Just let it burn!?! Doesn't sound like the smartest idea to me!
The fire department will assist with all of your fire emergencies. @Olivier Wilder
Finally! Those pipes have been rusted out for years and I doubt they could stop a fire in their current condition. @ASAPS Parks and Recreation

Ben Svaertschi will be taking over as the head administrator of the Parks and Rec Department on October 26th. Ben will be joining us after working in the private sector as an urban planner for the last 15 years. We wish the best of luck to our outgoing administrator, Torey Berry, who is retiring after 35 years of public service.
oof. 35 years of public service sounds like a lot. Hope it was a labor of love. @ASAPS Parks and Recreation

I loved my time at the public works department! I'm proud of my 35 years of serving ASAPS City.

Road maintenance will begin in front of Lander's Office Complex on N 6th Avenue beginning October 7th. The road will be closed for approximately 72 hours as we fill cracks and other imperfections in the road.

ASAPS City Parks and Rec will be taking suggestions from the public on intersections throughout the city that need a new traffic light. Recommendations can be submitted via the suggestion portal on the public works website.
you know what would be super cool? All intersections with traffic lights! @ASAPSPublicWorks
We agree that would be very cool. Unfortunately, we do not have that kind of funding. @Thomas Ramon

Need a job? ASAPS City Parks and Recreation is hiring! Full time employees receive excellent health insurance and retirement benefits!
Can you hire my son please? He won't move out of my house and he's 32! He's a smart boy @ASAPS Parks and Recreation
Have him apply on our website. Does he have any experience in construction or another trade? @Allison Curran
I'll make him apply. The only trade he knows is trading worthless items on his stupid game! @ASAPS Parks and Recreation

Sidewalk renovations will begin on August 3rd. All cracked or chipped sidewalks will be broken up and filled with new concrete.
Thank goodness. My skateboard wheels keep getting stuck in the cracks and it ruins my flow, bro @ASAPS Parks and Recreation

Beat the summer heat this weekend at the Community Pool in the Downtown Recreation Center.

Our kids are having a blast at the ASAPS City Summer Camp! There are still a few spots open for the rest of summer, so go to our website to sign up your kids for some good ol' summer fun!

ASAPS City Halloween Parade is next week! Bring your whole family to Justice Park on Saturday, October 24 from 2 to 4pm. There will be plenty of activities for the whole family to enjoy!
@ASAPSParks&Rec I can't wait to bring my little guys out to this! Hopefully they don't scare all the other kids! I did a good job on their costumes, if I do say so myself
@Steph Barry We can't wait to see their costumes!

Have you seen our mini horse? Li'l Sylvester will be making a surprise appearance at Justice Park tonight at 7pm! Bring your whole family and make sure you get your photo with this larger than life steed!
Rico Henry (via DFRN)
